We had a blast exploring the surroundings and trying out different activities like cycling, snowshoeing, and even snowboarding! The hotel made it super easy for us to enjoy these activities by offering a ski school, ski pass sales, and even ski passes included in the amenities. It was the ultimate adventure getaway!

One thing that we would have loved to have at Hotel Engel was a happening party scene for young people like us. We had so much fun during the day with all the activities, but it would have been even more awesome if there were some cool parties or events to attend at night.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and provided with great tips for local outings. The location of the hotel was perfect for hikers like me, with beautiful walks and sightseeing opportunities nearby. I particularly enjoyed the calm backyard room, which was spotlessly clean and equipped with a comfortable new bed. As a vegetarian, I found the food to be tasty, although I wish there were more vegetarian options. The hotel also had a nice playroom, making it family-friendly. the hotel offered good value for money. I had an excellent stay and would highly recommend Engel to others.

The breakfast was AMAZING, with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and competent. The hotel is located in a peaceful area with a playground right next door. On-site parking was available. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the receptionist was kind and extremely helpful. The pricing was reasonable for Switzerland. The location is perfect for exploring neighboring villages and the stunning Stanserhorn mountain. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with a refreshing view. A convenient market across the road provided snacks for hiking. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

We liked Hotel Engel. It is near the Gothard tunnel on the north south route and thus a good stopover point. Pleasant staff, good breakfast, lovely views and we even managed to take a lovely long walk down from the mountain after taking a cable uphill.

Nice hotel on thw way to Italy. The hotel is quit old but the rooms have been updated, ask for the comfortroom. Staff are very nice!

Hotel Engel is a small hotel, with a definite family feel to it. Staff are friendly, the room was just refurnished with a new bathroom. The food in the restaurant was excellent, the breakfast more than adequate to start a days hiking. The location is very pratical, the stop for the Post bus is across the road, there are 2 telecabins starting within 500m from the hotel.

My stay at Engel was fantastic! I was there for a week-long ski vacation and the location was perfect - just a 2-minute walk to the lift and ski rental. The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel incredibly safe throughout my stay. The renovated rooms and private bathroom were impeccable. The on-site restaurant served delicious local and international food, and the breakfast spread was top-notch. I also loved the free parking and the nearby supermarket. a wonderful experience!

I chose Engel Hotel for its convenient location near Niederbauen-Chulm, a landmark I was eager to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the option to rent bicycles from the hotel. This feature allowed me to explore the beautiful surroundings of Emmetten easily. Additionally, the onsite restaurant, Restaurant Engel, impressed me with its delicious regional cuisine.

Parking confusion. Noisy room, outdated bathroom, and lack of basic amenities such as glasses and charging facilities.

Very good restaurant, hearty food, good choice of wine and beer. Clean, quiet place out of the city, good location near to cable cars and hiking trails and other local attractions. Not all staff speak English, but the place seems to cater to English-speaking clientell; no problems encountered when checking in, ordering food, etc., checking out.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location in the mountains is perfect, with the bus stop right in front of the hotel. It was so convenient, especially when I arrived with all my ski equipment. Plus, there is a cable car nearby, making it easy to access the mountains for skiing or hiking. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, and the facilities were well-maintained. The breakfast offered a great variety of high-quality food, including amazing Swiss cheese. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Restaurant offered a wide range of dishes. I intend to stay here again. Would advise travelling there by car as it seems to be halfway up a mountainside.

Room needs a little extra lighting. Breakfast was sufficient, but there is not the choice you might expect from the "hearty breakfast buffet" indicated on your site.

Loved the hearty breakfast and the Swiss specialties at the restaurant, perfect for a foodie like me. Kids will enjoy the playroom and outdoor playground. Plenty of cultural highlights and activities in the area.

Who needs good internet or friendly staff when you can have a bad smell in the room? Such a delightful surprise.
